    Digital Painting – Paint a Video Clip Using Photoshop

    I’ve been experimenting in Photoshop a lot lately, and today I created a digital painting / animated gif from an existing video clip. I brushed in color frame by frame using Photoshop.  It’s easy to do this. If you’re interested, you can find a tutorial on YouTube. Photoshop continues to surprise me. More and more, it is incorporating functionality from other Adobe design applications. The tools you’ll use for this project are similar to those you’ll find in Adobe After Effects.     Painting Female Face | Flower Painting | Fine Art Painting

    Painting Female Face and Flowers I was inspired by old Hollywood glamour photography of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, in particular a photo of Bette Davis in her very early career. As for the flowers, I thought it would be nice to add bold color in the design which would frame/wrap one side of the canvas.     Happy Birthday Card Design Begins on Canvas

    This Happy Birthday Card Design was created for my niece’s 14th birthday. The original art is on 8×10 canvas. A digital picture was taken to create the card. I gave my niece the canvas and the card. Birthday Card Media: I used a mixture of media, including tissue paper, acrylics, gold paint marker, stamp with gold ink, vintage images, and water-based varnish. I did not frame the canvas. I glued a colorful ribbon, that matched the colors used in the design, around the edge of the canvas. I provided a tabletop easel as part of the gift.
