Crochet Openwork Scarf | Quick and Easy Crochet Scarf Pattern

crochet openwork scarfThis is an easy to make crochet openwork scarf.

With crochet scarves, gauge, yarn, and hook size are not critical. You can experiment!

The pattern for this scarf can be found on Ravelry – Lion BrandCrochet Openwork Scarf.

The yarn is a discontinued yarn (Ardore) from Trendsetter Yarns, which I picked up on sale at Tuesday Morning. Tuesday Morning has beautiful discontinued yarn from time to time. When you’re next in the store, find the craft section, and see if there’s yarn that you’d like to use to knit/crochet a project. If there is a Tuesday Morning outlet in your city, that’s the place to go to find yarn!

I felt the scarf was incomplete without edging. The pattern for the edging can be found in I Love Crochet by Rachel Henderson & Sarah Hazell. This book has a lot of cool, easy crochet patterns.

  1. Do you share patterns with others? If so I’m trying to find a pattern for Dallas Cowboys (stars).
Also, the easy crochet open scarf is really beautiful 🙂

    1. Stella,
Thanks for your comment. I don’t know of any Dallas Cowboy Stars, but there are a lot of great star patterns (knit and crochet) on Ravelry (www.ravelry.com). Just do a search under patterns for “stars,” and I’m sure you’ll find something you can modify. If you’re not a member of Ravelry, you’ll have to join before you can search patterns. It’s free!
